School Ethos
At The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar, we believe that children are in their element when at school. From the moment a child walks through our gates at the age of two, we place them at the heart of everything we do, with an emphasis on creating the conditions and culture that each child in our care needs to thrive and reach their potential.
We provide a broad and balanced curriculum, promoting academic rigour, encouraging students to discover new information every day and instilling in them a love for life-long learning. Equally essential to the success of our girls and boys is the development of confidence, integrity, resilience and teamwork, which are learnt via a range of sports and a wealth of cultural and co-curricular activities. Pupils also gain a sense of duty, selflessness and the importance of community.
Our nurturing environment ensures that every child will find her or his niche and will get the opportunity to embrace new challenges in an atmosphere of supportive encouragement. We believe in giving our pupils space to enjoy their childhood without the pressure of growing up too quickly, and as they progress through the school, pupils develop and exercise leadership in a caring, collaborative and dynamic relationship with their peers and teachers.
